Chennai, April 20 (IANS) A day before the auspicious day of Akshaya Tritiya, actress Tamannah Bhatia's jewellery line 'Wite & Gold' has gone live.

The website www.witengold.com has elegant day wear, gemstones, work wear and diamond jewellery designed by Tamannah.

The collection features rings, earrings and pendants.

"I'm very happy that I'm going to bring out (jewellery) for my fans, who enjoy the element of style in me in my films," Tamannaah had told IANS earlier.

Asked what pulled her into the jewellery designing business, she said: "My father has been in the jewellery business for many years and I have always watched him and spent time with him.

"I always feel that lucky are those people who get a chance to take their passion as profession and turn into something more. I was lucky twice, I got that first with acting and I am doing it again now with jewellery," she said.

Apart from her first movies in Tamil and Telugu, Kedi and Chand Sa Roshan Chehra in 2007, she gave her rocking performance in the commercially acclaimed movies, Siruthai, Ayan, Paiyaa. These movies brought her a strong and secured place in the Tamil film industry as one of the recognized and best performing actresses.

Later in 2011, Tamanna entered into the Telugu film industry and many successful movies, Cameraman Ganga Tho Rambabu, Racha, Thadaka and many more.

Tamanna also gave a reentry into the Hindi film industry in 2013 through the film, Himmatwala.

Her next Hindi movie, Humshakals, in 2014 was the next great opportunity for her to land strongly in the film industry in Bollywood.

Tamanna’s performance with Danush in Padikathavan is an other great hit in the Tamil film industry.

However, her continued performance in Tamil and Telugu film industries gave her stable and strong place as the popular and one of the leading actresses of South India. She acted in both average and commercial movies, but she was very particular about choosing her role and character.

Apart from working in films, Tamanna also continues acting in many commercial ads like Chandrika Ayurveda soap, Fanta, Celkon mobiles and many others.
Tamanna is also the brand ambassador for two jewelry stores in Salem, Khazana Jewelry and AVR.
