Tamanna (full name Tamanna Bhatia) is a South Indian model and actress who was born on 21 December 1989, in Mumbai, Maharashtra. Like many south Indian actress she too was from outside south Indian region. There is a definite amount of beauty and hotness in the outside regions that the local region lacks and Tamanna is one of them that fills this gap. But unlike many other actresses who appear as local and speak local languages, Tamanna’s appearance clearly tells that she is not from South Indian States (Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu and Kerala).

Actress Tamanna has worked as a model before entering the South Indian film Industry. She has acted in several advertisements with first one being the famous Fair & Lovely that continues to show many models for generations. She is most watched in her latest commercial ad for Sun Direct where she dances, shows her cute little expressions and exposes a little of her body. But even before all this, she has acted in one Hindi Film (Bollywood) Chand Sa Roshan Chahra which was released in 2005 but Tamanna acted in that since 2003 when just entered into her Teenage (thirteen).
Tamanna has debuted first in Telugu film Industry (Tollywood) in film Sri in 2005 where she played the lead role as heroine. Though the film did not do well she got further offers. Her next Telugu film Happy Days directed by Shekhar Kammula was a super hit film among the youth. She rose to fame overnight after this film and noted for her teenage beauty. Tamanna continued to act in more Telugu films Kalidasu and Ready in 2008, Konchem Ishtam Konchem Kashtam in 2009.

Tamanna has debuted in Tamil film Industry (Kollywood) in film Kedi in 2006 which was a success at the box office earning her recognition as a successful debutante. Tamanna continued acting in more Tamil films at the same time as she acted in several commercial advertisements and Telugu film Industry. Tamanna has acted in more of Kollywood films like Vyapari and Kallori in 2007, Padikathavan, Ayan, Ananda Thandavam and Kandein Kadalai in 2009, and working for 2010 films Paiyaa, Thillalangadi and Sura.
